In order to maintain uniformity across the portals of Indian Railways and IRTC, the screen shot of the e-ticket, ie., Virtual Reservation Message (VRM) displayed through laptops/ palmtops / mobile phones and Mobile Reservation Message (MRM) for tickets booked on mobile phones, combined with valid Photo Identity Card in original will be treated as an instrument on par with the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS) including for tickets booked through IRCTC website.
