South Central Railway carries out intensive drives against eunuchscontinuously over its jurisdiction in order to avoid inconvenience to the bonafied passengers in Express and ordinary passenger trains. During the period of four months from September, 2011 to December, 2011, a total of 792 drives were conducted resulting in registration of 263 cases against eunuchs.284 eunuchs were arrested and prosecuted in the Court of Law. An amount of Rs. 22, 350/- has been realized towards penalty besides sentencing of 10 eunuchs to undergo imprisonment. 31 cases are pending trial in the courts.
