29th September, 2011, being the World Heart Day, the Medical Department of Secunderabad Division, South Central Railway, in association with Apllo Hospital and Care Hospital, organized a Cardiac Screening Camp at Sanchalan Bhavan, Secunderabad for officer of Secunderabad Division. The Camp was inaugurated by Shri S.K. Sharma, Chief Medical Director, South Central Railway and Shri Sanjive Roy, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division was the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Shri S.K. Sharma, Chief Medical Director, explained the significance of World Heart Day and exhorted Railway Officers who are performing stressful duties to be more careful in taking care of their heart.He also narrated on various heart problems, related preventive measures and nutritional care. Shri Sanjive Roy, Divisional Railway Manager thanked the Medical Department for organizing the camp for the benefit of the officers.

The heart expert in the Camp conducted Bodi Mass Index for obesity , Cardiac Problem detection (ECG & 2D-Echo),Blood Pressure, Sugar average testing for last 3 months,
cholesterol test for 85 officers. Dr. P. Janaki Srinath, Nutritionist counseled the participants on idea diet. Dr. Hema Sundar Rao, Yoga Teacher, demonstrated five minutes capsule yoga programme for the benefit of the participants.
Smt M. Uma Nagendra Mani, Matron, Shri B. Benjamin Chief Pharmacist co-ordinated the Camp.
