Shri Anjan Kumar Yadav, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Secunderabad flagged offTrain No.12026 Secunderabad-Pune Shatabdi Express on its inaugural run today (13.11.2011) at a function held at Secunderabad Railway Station. Shri V. Hanumantha Rao, Shri Md. Ali Khan, Hon’ble Members of Parliament, (Rajya Sabha) Shri K.R. Amos, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Council, Smt. Banda KarthikaChandra Reddy, Her Worshipful Mayor, Greater Hyderabad, Shri Sanjive Roy, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other Senior railways officials were present on the occasion.
Addressing a large gathering, Shri Anjan Kumar Yadav lauded the railways for having fulfilled the promise of introducing a Shatabdi Express between Secunderabad and Pune. He also appreciated the railway authorities for improving the passenger amenities at Secuderabad Railway station and requested to start works for developing Secunderabad Station as World Class Railway station.
The first Shatabdi Express train on SC railway has 7 AC Chair Car Coaches with a total seating capacity of 469 seats and one Executive AC Chair Car Class consisting of 46 seating capacity. The train covers the distance of 597 Kms in a span of 8 hours. The fare for AC Chair Car is Rs. 780/- and Executive AC Chair Car is Rs.1500/- per person between Secunderabad and Pune and the fare includes catering charges also. Shri V. Hanumantha Rao, Shri Md.
