The Advance Reservation period of Tatkal Scheme is reduced from 2 days (at Present) to1 Day, excluding the day of Journey from the train originating day.The maximum number of Passengers allowed on each ticket is 4 (FOUR) only, instead of6 (six).No Refund will be granted on Cancellation of Confirmed Tatkal Ticket. In case of cancellation of Partially confirmed Tatkal Ticket, Refund will be granted, only for waitlisted Passengers (at the time of Cancellation) in the Tatkal ticket.No Duplicate Tickets shall be issued, in case of Loss of Tatkal Ticket.Tatkal Tickets will now be issued only upon production of Self attested Copy of one of the following Photo Identity Proofs of any one or more of the travelling passenger(s).Voter Photo Identity Card issued by Election Commissioner of India, Passport or PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department or Driving License issued by RTO or Photo Identity Card Issued by Central / State Government or Student Identity Card with Photograph issued by recognised School/college or Nationalised Bank passbook with Photograph or Credit Card issued by Banks with Laminated Photograph.The passengers should travel with the Original ID Proofindicated on the ticket. If the Passenger whose ID, indicated on the Ticket is not travelling, then all Passengers will be treated as Traveling without Ticket and charged accordingly. In case the Proof of Identity of more than one passenger is presented at the time of purchase and indicated on the ticket, the passengers can undertake the journey upon production of Original ID Proof in the Train, of any one of the travelling passengers whose ID is indicated on the ticket.
On 21st Nov, 2011, Tatkal tickets will be issued only for Journey Starting on 21st (Same Day) & 22nd Nov, 2011 ( 22ndNov, 2011 was already opened for Booking on 20th Nov, 2011 as per old Tatkal Scheme), subject to availability.On 22nd Nov, 2011, Tatkal ticket will be issued only for Journey Starting on 22nd(same day) & 23rd Nov, 2011.Passengerswho purchased Tatkal tickets prior to 21st Nov, 2011 will be allowed to travel on 21st & 22nd Nov, 2011 as per the provision of the Old Tatkal Scheme.
