Further, taking into
account the large numbers of waitlisted passengers on several trains,
additional coaches are also being attached on a regular basis (subject to
availability of spare coaches) to clear waitlist /extra rush of passengers.
Additional
coaches are being attached on daily basis to trains on popular routes like
Venkatadri Express, Narasapur Express, Gautami Express, Yeshwantpur Express,
Seshadri Express and Patna Express etc. to name a few.
During
the month of September 2011, a total of 880 additional coaches have been
attached duly clearing around 50,000 waitlisted passengers which is 53% more
compared to the same period of last year. Rs. 1.32 Crores additional revenue
was generated due to attaching additional coaches in September 2011.
(3.)
To take care of the needs of the commuters in Twin
Cities, three additional MMTS Services are being run on
Lingampalli-Secunderabad-Hyderabad-Lingampalli Circuit on day-to-day need
basis.
