South Central Railway will observe “Vigilance Awareness Week” from 31st October, 2011 to 5thNovember, 2011, as directed by Central Vigilance Commission, New Delhi. The Theme of the Week being“Participative Vigilance”, the Zone will organise several programmes during this week to disseminate awareness against corruption by involvingZonal Head Quarters Office / Rail Nilayam,six Divisions and five workshops in South Central Railway.
The Vigilance Awareness Week will commence with the employees and officers over the Zone taking a Pledge on 31stOctober, 2011 to be honest in discharging duties and desistfrom indulging incorrupt practices.At Zonal Head Quarters, the pledge will be administered by Shri R. Vijaya Mohan, Additional General Manager, S.C Railway. Sri K. Swaminathan,Senior Deputy General Manager, S.C.Railway will be present.
Vigilance Officers from Headquarters will visit Divisions and hold Workshops on “Vigilance Management” with the participation of Divisional Officers and Supervisors. The aim will be on Combating Corruption in Railways byraising the level of participation of railway officers and staff in order to wage a united fight against corruption. The focus will be onhighlighting the Administrative and customer service areas which require transparent policies and identifying the ways and means of implementing system improvements wherever required.
Quiz programmes on Vigilance Matters and Skits on ‘Eradication of Corruption’involving employees from field units of Divisions and Workshops are also planned during the Week. A Souvenircomprisingarticles on Combating Corruption in Railways will be released and distributed all over the Zone to enhance awareness on the issue of vigilance against corruption.
