The SC / ST Railway Officers’ Forum, Secunderabad congratulated Shri Gandham Chandrudu for becoming a role modal for others especially the candidates from weaker section of the society by his success in Civil Services Examination. Shri A. Bharat Bhushan, Chief Passenger Traffic Manager, S.C. Railway and other members viz. Veeraswamy, Babulal, P. Anjaneyulu, Viswa Ranjan, Ramesh, Devilal were present at the occasion. The members of the Forum exhorted Shri Chandrudu to counsel and guide candidates from weaker section to prepare for Civil Services Exam. Shri Gandham Chandrudu, a Travelling Ticket Examiner, Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway got through Civil Services Exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission in 2009 and was selected for Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He has completed his academic training at Mossouri from August 2010 to June 2011 and presently undergoing training as Asst. Collector at the Medak Distric Collectorate. Born to a poor Schedule caste parents belongs to Kotapadu Village, Kolimigundla Mandal, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh, Shri Chandrudu studied at Railway Junior College, Secunderabad. He was selected as Ticket Collector, promoted as Travelling Ticket Examiner and worked at Kacheguda, Secunderabad, Nanded, Auragabad from the year 2000 to 2009. While working as TTE, Shri Chandrudu completed his graduation through distance education from Indra Gandhi National Open University, Hyderabad. On the occasion, Shri Chandrudu thanked the railway Officers and Colleagues for their encouragement and cooperation. He informed that he is pursuing his Post Graduation in Public Policy through IGNOU. Further he said that he will establish an Education Society with the aim of helping poor students to enable them to prepare for Civil Services Examination.
