As announced in the Railway Budget 2011-12, South Central Railway will introduce a new Bi-Weekly Superfast Express Train between Tirupati and Amaravati via Akola, Purna, Kacheguda, Dharmavaram and Pakala.The regular service will commence from 13th December, 2011 as per the schedule mentioned below.
Train No.12765 Tirupati – Amaravati Bi-weekly Superfast Express will depart Tirupati on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 15.10 hrs., arrive/depart Kacheguda at 03.50/04.00 hrs., the next day and arrive Amaravati at 14.50 hrs.
In the return direction Train No.12766 Amaravati – Tirupati Bi-weekly Superfast Express will depart Amaravati on Mondays and Thursdays at 06.55 hrs., arrive/depart Kacheguda at 17.45 /17.55 hrs. and arrive Tirupati at 06.40 hrs. the next day.
Enroute the train will also stop at Pakala, Piler, Kadiri, Dharmavaram, Anatapur, Dhone, Kurnool Town, Gadwal, Mahaboobnagar, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Mudkhed, HS Nanded, Purna, Hingoli, Washim, Akola and Budnera in both the directions.
The train will comprise of one AC 2 Tier, one AC 3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van coaches, totaling to sixteen.
Her Excellency the President of India will flag off the Inaugural Special Train from Amaravati at 18.00 hrs. on 10th December, 2011 which will arrive Tirupati at 23.00 hrs the next day.
